KitchenAid is extending its 90-year anniversary celebration. It is continuing its celebration through its Sweet Celebration Promo wherein customers will receive up to $500 cash back when purchasing 5 select KitchenAid Brand appliances.

Qualifying KitchenAid Brand appliances include Side-by-Side Refrigerators, Bottom-Freezer Refrigerators, Double Drawer Refrigerators, and Built-in Refrigerators.

City of Fort Collins refrigerator and freezer recycling rebates

The City of Fort Collins in Colorado is encouraging its residents to recycle their old refrigerators and freezers by giving them a $35 bill credit.

You will get a $35 bill credit in exchange for turning over your old refregirator or freezer to the city government. All you have to do is call them and arrange to have your old appliance picked up for free.

Following are quidelines to qualify for the $35 refrigerator and freezer recycling rebates:

  • Fort Collins Utilities electric residential and commercial customers are eligible.
  • Customer must own the appliance being recycled (limit of two per account).
  • Appliance must be working (plugged in and cooling) and between 10–27 cubic feet.
  • Customer will receive a one-time bill credit within 4–6 weeks after collection.

Get $25 Rebate on Energy Star Refrigerators

Residents of Minnesota who are thinking of buying a new refrigerator should think of Energy Star refrigerators. The reason is Minnesota Power is giving away $25 refrigerator rebate for those who purchase a qualifying energy star refrigerator. It’s like getting paid for upgrading your kitchen.

Replacing your kitchen with an new energy star refrigerator will not only save enough energy but will also save you several hundred dollars on energy bills.

To qualify for the rebate, you must do the following:

  • Purchase a qualifying ENERGY STAR refrigerator at a participating retailer. Note: You must be a customer of a participating utility.
  • Submit a completed rebate form (only available at participating retailer) with a copy of the sales receipt to the address on the rebate form. Expect your rebate check in 8–10 weeks.
  • Minnesota Power customers (receive your bill from MP): Request the roundup of your old refrigerator and get a $50 reward.

Giving away of the $25 refrigerator rebate ends December 31, 2009.
